# 2.19 - Aug 28 Release

## More Control, Faster Scheduling, and a Snappier App

**Released:** August 28, 2026
**Version:** 2.19

This release gives you more ways to filter and find your work, speeds up the parts of Retti you use most, and clears out a long list of the small annoyances you told us about. As always, much of this list came straight from your feedback on calls and support tickets. Thank you for keeping it coming. It is exactly what shapes each release.

Nothing here changes how you work day to day: no new setup, no retraining, no new steps.

**Before you start**

After today's update, refresh Retti to make sure you're running the latest version.

- **Windows:** Ctrl + Shift + R
- **Mac:** Cmd + Shift + R
- **Mobile App:** Close the app completely, then reopen it.

### Speed & Performance

#### 1. A faster, smoother calendar

**Before**
With a lot scheduled, the calendar and app could feel slow or glitchy, and actions sometimes locked up the screen until everything finished loading.

**Now**
We did significant behind-the-scenes performance work on the calendar and across the app. Pages load faster, the app feels snappier, and you can keep working without waiting for the screen to catch up.

#### 2. Faster photo uploads

**Before**
Photos from the field could take a long time to upload, leaving field users waiting.

**Now**
We improved how photo uploads are handled so they move along faster and get out of your crew's way.

#### 3. Add notes without waiting

**Before**
Adding a note to a task could lock the screen until the previous note finished saving.

**Now**
You can add notes and keep moving. One action no longer holds up the next.

### New Ways to Filter & Find Work

#### 1. 24 hour view when scheduling *(Scheduler, Day View, Hot Seat)*

**Before**
The schedule only showed part of the day. If you scheduled a task at, say, 4am instead of typical working hours, it dropped out of view and the only way to find it was to open the job file.

**Now**
A new toggle opens the full 24-hour day so nothing hides outside your normal hours. When something is scheduled outside the visible range, an indicator points you to it, and the view expands automatically so you can see it. Hover the indicator for a quick explanation of what it means.

#### 2. Type the number of crew you need *(Scheduler)*

**Before**
Setting the crew count meant clicking a plus button once for every person. Ten crew meant ten clicks, on every task.

**Now**
You can type any number directly into the crew count field. The plus and minus buttons still work and stay in sync with whatever you type.

#### 3. Select multiple crew and equipment at once *(Scheduler)*

**Before**
Assigning a crew meant opening the dropdown, picking one person, and starting over for the next. On a 10-person crew, that added up fast.

**Now**
Check off as many crew members or pieces of equipment as you need in one pass, using checkboxes. Selections apply as you go, with no save step. A live count at the top of the Crew section confirms your selections as you make them. When you close the dropdown and re-open it again, the list refreshes so the ones you selected move to the top, in alphabetical order, so you don't have to scroll the list to find them.

#### 4. Filter the calendar by Builder and Project Manager *(All Calendar Views)*

**Before**
There was no way to narrow the calendar to a single builder or project manager, so you had to scan the whole board to find their work.

**Now**
You can filter every calendar view by **Builder** and **Project Manager**, so you see only the work that matters to you right now. The calendar updates as soon as you apply a filter.

### Notifications

#### 1. Warning alerts for field users *(Field User)*

**Before**
Field users only knew a task had a problem if they opened the app and noticed the color, so required updates could be missed.

**Now**
Field users receive a push notification the moment one of their assigned tasks moves into a warning or error status. Administrators can set a custom message for these alerts, or leave it blank to use the standard one.

---

### Visibility & Ease of Use

#### 1. Job names show on the calendar time block *(Week View)*

**Before**
A scheduled time block showed only the task name, so it was hard to tell jobs apart at a glance. This was also missing after rescheduling a task.

**Now**
Time blocks show the Job Name, Job Address, and workflow name, matching what you already see in Day View, including after you move a task.

#### 2. See external task details on hover *(Hot Seat)*

**Before**
Hovering an external task only told you anything if it had a warning on it. With no warning, you got nothing and had to click in to identify it.

**Now**
Hover any external task and see its name and assigned contact right away, whether or not it has a warning. If there is a warning, you'll see both together.

#### 3. Helpful hover tooltips and cursors

**Before**
Some shortened names and initials around the app gave no way to see the full text, and it wasn't always clear what you could hover over.

**Now**
Truncated names and initials now show the full text on hover, and the cursor changes to signal when more detail is available. This applies across All Jobs, Job Details, the Scheduler, the Calendar, and the Hot Seat.

#### 4. Full contact details on the Resources page *(Resources)*

**Before**
Email addresses and phone numbers were cut off, so you couldn't read or copy them.

**Now**
The columns are wider, so full contact information is visible and easy to copy.

#### 5. Long job descriptions display in full

**Before**
A long job description could be cut off so you couldn't read all of it.

**Now**
Long job descriptions wrap across multiple lines so the whole note is visible.

#### 6. Larger, cleaner Hot Seat labels *(Hot Seat)*

**Before**
The task labels next to the icons were small and hard to read, and the tooltip text didn't line up neatly with its icon.

**Now**
Labels are larger and easier to read, and the tooltip text is aligned with its icon.

#### 7. Loading spinners where they were missing

**Before**
Some areas showed "No items" while they were still loading, which looked like nothing was there.

**Now**
These areas now show a loading spinner so you know Retti is working, on the Map, Job Details documents, forms, and more.

### Reporting

#### 1. More fields you can report on

**Before**
A lot of the schedule information you needed wasn't available in reporting, so you had to ask for new views and exports.

**Now**
You can now report on much more of what already exists in Retti, including:

• Assigned crew members and assigned equipment, each in a single cell
• Assigned task notes
• Workflow creation date
• Separate date and time fields, instead of the two combined
• Total quantity of needed crew

#### 2. Search and filter by Project Manager

**Before**
You could report on Project Manager, but you couldn't filter the column, so you had to scroll to find what you needed.

**Now**
You can search and filter by Project Manager directly in the report.

---

### Open Jobs Without Losing Your Place

#### 1. Jobs open in a new tab *(All Jobs, Hot Seat, Calendar, Map)*

**Before**
Opening a job reloaded the page. When you came back, you'd lost your date, your scroll position, and your place, and had to find it all again. This was one of the most common frustrations you shared with us.

**Now**
Jobs open in a new browser tab. The screen you started from stays exactly as it was, with your filters, date or week, and scroll position all preserved. Your original view is right where you left it when you switch back.

### Fixes

#### 1. Bulk reschedule suggests the right time *(Scheduler)*

**Before**
When rescheduling related tasks together, the suggested time defaulted to one time for every task.

**Now**
The suggested times reflect each task's own time.

#### 2. Overlapping schedules save as drafts correctly *(Scheduler)*

**Before**
Saving an overlapping schedule as a draft could mark it as Scheduled instead.

**Now**
Save as Draft keeps the task as a draft, even when it overlaps another.

#### 3. Job name stays put when creating a job *(All Jobs)*

**Before**
Adding a workflow name while creating a new job could overwrite the job name.

**Now**
The workflow name no longer changes or overwrites the job name.

#### 4. Task order on the All Jobs page *(All Jobs)*

**Before**
Tasks inside a date could appear out of order.

**Now**
Tasks appear in the correct order.

#### 5. Back button stays visible *(Field User)*

**Before**
On a long task, the Back button disappeared when you scrolled down.

**Now**
The Back button stays visible as you scroll.

#### 6. Hot Seat timeline stays visible *(Hot Seat)*

**Before**
The time header at the top of the Hot Seat disappeared as you scrolled down.

**Now**
The time header stays in place while you scroll.

#### 7. Scheduler sidebar shows for new accounts *(Workload Calendar)*

**Before**
A brand-new account or newly added office user could open the calendar and not see the scheduler sidebar or Jobs tab.

**Now**
The scheduler sidebar and Jobs tab appear right away.
